Dr. Amina Husain, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic reconstructive/aesthetic surgery, cataract, refractive surgery, and dry eyes. She completed her undergraduate and medical school training in a combined six-year BS/MD accelerated program at Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. She graduated summa cum laude. Dr. Husain then completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. After leaving the Houston area, she completed two fellowships at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Her first fellowship was in oculofacial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery and her second fellowship was in refractive surgery.
Dr. Husain has authored several research publications and lectured in oculoplastic surgery at surgical conferences. Dr. Husain is nationally recognized as a top Ophthalmic Cosmetic surgeon. She has a clinical interest in cosmetic and minimally invasive oculoplastic surgery, Botox, facial fillers, LASIK, PRK, and refractive cataract surgery. She has also completed several mission trips in Haiti, Mexico, and Honduras performing complex cataract and eyelid surgeries.
